Privacy policy.
What we collect, and what we don’t.

Last updated October 10, 2026.

What this covers.

This policy explains what ports.io collects when you visit this site, contact us or use an account, and what we do with it.

What you give us.

Account details: your name, work email, company and the details we need to verify your business at sign-up.

Billing details. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, so full card numbers never reach our systems.

Messages you send us, through the contact form or by email.

What the site collects.

The basic technical data every website receives, such as your IP address, your browser and the pages you open.

Cookies the site needs to work, for example to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising cookies.

Google Analytics cookies, which count visits and show which pages people use, only with your consent where the law asks for it. Iubenda asks for that consent and keeps a record of your choice. Our cookie policy, linked at the foot of every page, lists each cookie and how long it lasts.

Your traffic on the network.

For the traffic you send through ports.io, we see routing metadata only. We don’t decrypt TLS and we don’t store request content.

We use that metadata to route your requests, measure usage for billing and enforce the acceptable use rules in our terms.

Device owners.

The people whose home connections make up the network share bandwidth only. No files, no browsing history, no personal information.

They opt in after we explain it in plain language, and they can leave at any time.

How we use it.

To run your account, provide and bill for the service, answer your messages, keep the network safe and meet our legal obligations.

We don’t sell personal information.

Who we share it with.

Service providers that help us run ports.io, each given only what it needs: Stripe for payments, Didit for identity checks, WorkOS for sign-in, Resend for email, and the companies that host our servers.

On this site: Google Analytics for visit counts and Iubenda for cookie consent.

Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it.

For as long as your account is open, and afterwards only as long as we need it for legal, tax or security reasons.

Your choices.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to have a copy you can take elsewhere, or to object to or limit how we use it. Contact us and we’ll take care of it.

Where analytics cookies need your consent, you can change your choice at any time with Cookie Preferences at the foot of the page.

If you’re in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
